Further Deception from Frumteens

In disputes about Frumteens on other forums, many have protested Frumteens’ extreme Satmar ideology. Others have defended Frumteens by saying that everyone has a right to their own ideology and Frumteens happens to be extreme Satmar.

One simple response to be made to this is that just as Frumteens has a right to an extreme Satmar ideology, others have a right to attack this ideology based on their own ideology.

A stronger objection is that Frumteens gives the impression of being a mainstream Orthodox institution, like Aish HaTorah or Project Genesis. The moderator indicates that he is presenting “plain generic Judaism the way it was practiced for centuries.” The subtitle of the website is “Anything you want to know about Judaism but have nobody to ask.” If its subtitle was “Anything you want to know about extreme Satmar perspectives on Judaism but have nobody to ask” it wouldn’t stir up so much opposition. The problem is that it is deceiving innocent teenagers into thinking that extreme Satmar ideology represents mainstream Orthodoxy.

Frumteeens is a black eye on the face that true Orthodox Judaism presents to the world. The spiritual gems that are our children need to be protected as much from this predator as any other. I would venture a guess that the children that access that despicable site are probably the most vulnerable without decent role models in their lives to turn to with their questions. I for one am glad someone is finally exposing this nonsense in a public forum. Hopefully, our leaders will take notice and call for it to end. In the meantime, keep up the good work.

even more problematically not only does the mod not specify his satmar views or satmar connections but he claims that they are the only legitimate views and anyone who dissents is a kofer

which is to say to often troubled and ignorant kids, this is judaism and if you don't believe it, you're rejecting judaism

I can't tell you where, but he actually denies any connection with Satmar. (Blatant lie.)

Orthodox Judaism as practiced in America for 350 years was always willing to be involved in the non-Jewish world (to the extent the non-Jews permitted it). This was true of the early Sefardic settlers in colonial times, the German Jews of the mid 19th century, and the folks who founded the Orthodox Union, the Rabbinical Council of America, Yeshiva University, and so on. That is "the way it was practiced for centuries" at least in makom zeh.

At first I was skeptical of frumteens, considering how I am Lubavitch, but it was only AFTER I tried posting three times in defense of Chabad, and it was either not posted, or deleted shortly after posting, that I realized something was really fishy. This madness should be stopped once and for all!

Frumteens is not Satmar! Perhaps it is Yeshivish but not Satmar. Please do not confuse antizionism with zionist indifference.
